Scope of Work The City is issuing this RFP to solicit proposals from qualified service providers for use of facilities located in Santa Clara County to provide construction and demolition materials processing (“C&D materials processing”) and/or solid waste disposal services for materials generated within the City. The City is seeking to obtain high-quality, cost-effective services that help maintain competitive customer rates while supporting the City’s environmental and regulatory compliance goals. The City wishes to enter into a longterm agreement(s) with potential terms of fifteen years (ten-year base term plus a five-year extension) or twenty years (fifteen-year base term plus a five-year extension). The Draft Post-Collection Services Agreement (“Draft Agreement”) provided in Attachment B presents the terms and conditions for the contract for both C&D materials processing and solid waste disposal services. The capitalized terms used in this RFP are defined in Exhibit A of the Draft Agreement. All proposals must be submitted in accordance with the RFP requirements.
